Can I use my employment for Work Placement?

Some of you may be fortunate enough to already be working in the industry that you are currently studying for. Congratulations!

It is great experience to work in industry while studying, and we always encourage this. To use this job for work placement, your employer must meet some necessary criteria.

If you are wondering if you can use your Employer as a host for your Work Placement, check out Can I use my own employer for a work placement to see the list or requirements and for further information.

You will be able to use your Employer to count towards your Work Placement hours under two conditions:

  1. You are approved to conduct your Work Placement at your employer; AND
  2. You are scheduled to commence your Work Placement.

Please kindly note that the hours that you complete towards Work Placement must be during your Work Placement term. This is important for you and us to ensure that we are able to provide you with the required support during your Work Placement as well as for our insurance to be able to cover you in the event of something going wrong.

If you are wondering if you can be paid while you are completing your Work Placement hours, check out Can I be paid to work while doing Work Placement?
