We understand that the information surrounding the COVID-19 vaccination program can be overwhelming. We are here to help you!
If you are studying a course in Aged Care, you will be required to provide evidence of the first dose of the vaccine by 17th September, 2021. This decision has been made by the Australian Federal Government.
If you are studying Mental Health and Community Services, many host providers will require you to have received the COVID-19 vaccine with it being mandatory now in NSW. If you have received the COVID-19 vaccine, there will be more placement opportunities available to you.
If you are studying an Early Childhood Education and Care course, The New South Wales and Victorian Governments have required that all Childcare workers be fully vaccinated. In NSW you must be fully vaccinated to enter a Childcare centre by 08/11/2021 and in Victoria you must be fully vaccinated to enter a Childcare centre by 29/11/2021.
Queensland and Western Australian Governments have not yet advised that you require a COVID-19 vaccine at this stage. However, please kindly note that a host provider may require that you be fully vaccinated before beginning your placement. This decision is at the host provider's discretion.
