From Term 1, 2026, ALG will transition students into new Training Package versions for the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC50125) and Diploma of Community Services (CHC52025). These updated qualifications are fully equivalent to the current courses, so you do not need to take any action. Your course duration, fees, and completed units remain unchanged. Current students will transition on 23 January 2026, and new students will begin directly in the updated courses.
Why This Change Is Happening
In October 2025, new equivalent Training Package versions were released for:
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
- Diploma of Community Services
All Australian training providers must move students into these updated packages to ensure programs meet the current national standards.
ALG will deliver these new course codes from Term 1, 2026.
Updated Course Codes
| Current Course Code | New Course Code |
| CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care | CHC50125 |
| CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services | CHC52025 |
These courses are equivalent – the qualification outcome remains the same.
