I am a close contact of someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19

If you have been identified as being a close contact of someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, even if you do not have any symptoms, you must visit a testing site and get tested immediately. You will have to self isolate in line with the health advice you are provided with by the Department of Health after being tested, and will also need to wait until the Department of Health officially clear you before you can leave isolation.

Where is my nearest testing site?

Australian Capital Territory

New South Wales

Northern Territory

Queensland

South Australia

Tasmania

Victoria

Western Australia

This means that you will not be able to attend classes on campus until you have been officially cleared by the Department of Health.

Please remember to keep in contact with your Student Experience Team! While you are isolating and awaiting your test results, your attendance will not be negatively impacted, so it is important to update us so we can figure out the best way to support you during this time!

If you are unable to work while you are isolating and if you do not have any sick leave to cover this period, you are able to apply for a one-off $1500 payment. For more information check out the Pandemic Leave Disaster Payment.
